This stone and shingle house is set on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie and reflects the architectural heritage of Bratenahl. A series of axial spaces from the motor court through to the great hall organize this house to set up a visual connection to the lake beyond. To the lake the house presents its most formal and grand facade. A large central gable continues along the central axis of the house and is flanked by two smaller sweeping gables.
